Here's a review from a customer on how the new shock mounts and linkage pieces improve the performance:

BEST BIKE EVER@! I went for a ride on Sunday. Rode it super hard down the Intestinal Switchbacks, aka the Encinal Switchbacks up here in the Santa Monicas. It’s probably 3 miles up hill and then we fly back down over swoopy, bermy single track with lots of jumps. I realized I was babying the old frame because of the issue.

I am now so confident in the changes that I am not holding back at all. And the Green Viper lands perfectly with not much compression, and yet there’s zero bounce and the landing stable with no lateral sliding. Don’t know why, but I am flying over bigger jumps with more confidence. [Bigger jumps for me is more like 3-4 feet of air instead of 2 feet].

I rode it again tonight on my local mid-week trail. Same thing. It just kills.

I let all the air out of the shock and fully compressed the frame. There was so much clearance I could probably slip a pencil through - and that’s between the seat tube and cable, or the cable and the front of the linkage. There is NO WAY that cable is gonna get crushed, and I don’t see how the link could possibly touch the seat tube, unless the shock could magically compress further. But right now it’s not even close.

So no linkage touching seat tube. No FD cage touching chain stay. 100% clearance.
